Afternoon in the Garden

Look at how fast that hand is moving!

Done with having his picture taken

Dragonfly sculpture - what's this weird thing?
If you zoom in on this last picture, you can clearly see two top teeth and two bottom teeth.

Big Boy Bathtime

Bathtime is the most exciting time of the evening.  As soon as he hears the water start to run, he crawls into the bathroom at top speed.

As a matter of fact, we have started calling him the shower monitor.  Anytime anyone is in the bathroom taking a shower, he feels the need to go monitor and figure out ways to get in the shower with you.

Aqueduct Fun

I just got this for Oscar.  It says 3 years and up, but we had a ton of fun.  Notice that we start with one foot in the water.  Actually, we started fully clothed, but he soaked himself immediately.
Trying to take it apart
What fun!
He LOVES to splash
And in the end, you'll notice he's actually sitting in the water now.

Random pictures part 2

Watching TV on the sofa
Pretty baby
Now you can truly see how much too big he is for this chair!
Little tree hugger
Happy fourth of July!

The new camera

Paul got me a new small, light camera for Mother's Day and I've been taking pictures. A few have been pretty cute. The first two are from mother's day.
I was trying to get a picture of him with this bear in his mouth, and the flash made him squinch. I think the result is pretty hysterical.
BIG eyes
I give you Zoolander....
I just thought this was cute. Can't figure out what happened to the lighting.
Bath tonight
ROCK ON!

Just another Saturday at home

My friend Glenn posted these comments. They made me laugh out loud so I decided to put them with the pictures.

Good evening, ladies and gentlemen! As you can see, we are live and on the scene of the massive glacial quake that has destroyed Santa's workshop. We are waiting on word of his condition and the condition of his reindeer at this time. We have been told that the elves are in Las Vegas and we will go live to them in just a moment.
Despite the apparent confusion, we are, as you may have noticed, having a ball! Just a moment, what's that? Excuse me, folks, we are going live to Anderson Cooper with Mrs. Claus at Bergdorf's Summer Sales Event in New York City now.
Would someone get me some Buffalo Wings, please? What am I supposed to do with this ball? Would one of you get it out of here, please?
What do you mean there are no Buffalo Wings! Check the Kraft wagon, again, and hurry! AND, listen, I don't want any Bleu cheese dressing that they have to LOOK for!
Welcome back, everyone! We are going live to Cher who is with the elves in Las Vegas.
What is this crap? I guess I'll have to get them myself. What DO we pay you people for?

9 month checkup

No new pictures today.  I promise to post some later this week.

We went to the pediatrician today and had our 9 month checkup.  Here are the official stats

Height: 31 1/4" (That's over 97th percentile)
Weight: 25.12 lbs (97th percentile)
Head circumference: 18 3/4 (95th percentile)

So, as big as those cheeks are, he's actually taller than he is chunky.  I think we can all be fairly sure he doesn't have Paul's head if he's lagging in the head circumference statistic :)

Everything else was normal.  He got a Polio and Hepatitis A booster today, and took them like a man, but didn't sleep until 2:30 this afternoon.  He just about wore my mom out.

I'll post more pictures later this week and try and get us caught up!
