The Pumpkin Patch

Trying on the Halloween costume.  He's a skunk.  He doesn't seem impressed.  I was vetoed on the Disco outfit by Paul.  I think Oscar would have been equally unimpressed.

At the pumpkin patch, picking a pumpkin.

Seriously worn out from climbing on pumpkins.

He passed out on the way home.

Random Pictures

Just trying to catch up on posting.  We got pretty behind in September

The back of his head is shaped like an egg.  He's finally starting to get more hair!

Temporary relief from the tyranny of Oscar

We've had a teething boy on our hands for a few days.  This was one of the bright spots over the weekend.  Not to worry, he didn't eat the whole thing.  He just gummed on it long enough to cool his mouth.

More birthday pictures

Eating blueberries off the cake
I didn't realize how blue that icing was until this moment.
Face full of icing.
Face DOWN in icing
The only REAL way to eat ice cream.
The color of the orange sherbert and the blue icing is pretty crazy.
After a while, we simply had it. At this point, we let him play in the hose and he was happy. A fun day was had by all.

Bewildering Birthday

In no particular order, here is part 1 of the birthday pictures. Oscar was bewildered by the entire experience. We think he enjoyed playing in the hose the most. The video is almost embarassing because you hear cameras clicking like paparazzi in the background, and there were only 4 of us. We spent the afternoon in the backyard with Paul's Mom and my Mom. The weather was perfect.

We've all had one of these moments at a party before.
The pile of presents wasn't quite what he wanted. He was after a balloon I believe.
The cake - it's yellow, and the top is not all icing - it's filled with cake. It's just meant to look like a ton of icing. Those are blueberries all over the outside. That seemed to be his favorite part.
Checking out the new sound board.
New Rocking horse. This doesn't look like a ringing endorsement, but he seems to like it.
What is this thing on my head???

Biking, drinking and boxing

I bought a new bike so that I could take Oscar for bike rides.  I found a seat that fits in front of you, which is supposed to be safest, comfortable for them, and easiest in terms of weight distribution riding.  The bike I got is designed so that when you stop, you are flat footed.  This was our test ride today.

Oscar's Mawmaw Lena is visiting and brought him a new cup which he likes a lot.
He loves this box.  He climbed up there himself.  A rare moment where the cat hasn't figured out she's in danger yet.
He gets really excited when she scratches on that "cat scratchy thing" (neither of us know what it's called).  He tries to go play with it.  It's a endless source of "no's".

Scary TV Monster

I'm not entirely sure how we got trained to do this, but this is not a posed picture. Oscar is obsessed with the remote, and obviously has a bit of a tv issue already. He crawled over to me, grabbed the remote, crawled back to the other end of the sofa, reclined, and proceeded to press buttons.

Afternoon in the Garden

Look at how fast that hand is moving!

Done with having his picture taken

Dragonfly sculpture - what's this weird thing?
If you zoom in on this last picture, you can clearly see two top teeth and two bottom teeth.

Big Boy Bathtime

Bathtime is the most exciting time of the evening.  As soon as he hears the water start to run, he crawls into the bathroom at top speed.

As a matter of fact, we have started calling him the shower monitor.  Anytime anyone is in the bathroom taking a shower, he feels the need to go monitor and figure out ways to get in the shower with you.
