Just some fun pictures

These are just some pictures that didn't have a theme.  In our first plaid flannel shirt!

Sleeping

This puppy is one of his favorites.

Playing with blocks.  Or, mommy playing with blocks on Oscar.  He couldn't quite figure out what was going on, but enjoyed it.

First Swim Lesson

We were all pretty excited for Oscar's first swim lesson. He arrived, entourage in tow, and made his debut in his new swim diaper. This place is really cool. They only do swim classes, they keep the water at 91 degrees, and it's a salt water pool rather than chlorine. When you get in, the water temperature is about the same as the air. There was only one other baby in the class.

Before class:Just getting used to the water:
Floating on his back. Actually, he floats really well. Maybe the rolls help.
He kept grabbing his feet, but that's his new thing. I had no idea that babies actually did Happy Baby Pose, but apparently they do!
Playing Humpty Dumpty
Gathering balls up from the pool. Wow. He looks like a healthy eater!
Just coming up from the water. He's not too sure about this part yet. He only cried once, but he sputtered and spewed every time we did it. That's Oscar's swim teacher.
That starfish was quite interesting
This hold is supposed to be good for helping them float on their backs. I don't think he needs too much help.
Me trying to remember to keep his face above the water. Oops!

At this point, we realized that we had no formula with us, and it was time for him to eat, so Paul had to leave swim class IMMEDIATELY to go fetch formula. It was a good thing too, because as soon as we hit the car, it was time. No after pictures this time, but we'll try for something next time.

Where is Oscar?

Oscar thought this was great fun. It made me laugh too.

Christmas part 2

We ended up doing Christmas a day late. I had some some sort of stomach virus and spent the better part of the day at the ER getting fluids. I don't think Oscar noticed though.

Starting with the aftermath. This child never needs anything again. Ever. Mildly interested....
These were a big hit. They make loud noises :)

Getting tired
The monkey puppet got some good laughs

Standing up...sorta

We have a room in our house that is the home theater room/guest room/dance room. Paul put some mirrors up on the wall, and it's a great space to belly dance, practice yoga, or whatever. It now has a new use in entertaining Oscar. One of our new favorite activities is to go downstairs, hang on to the bedouin pillows, and look at the baby in the mirror. It's pretty darn cute. You have to help him stay upright, but he loves it.

Random pictures

How is he already a couch potato???A different picture of the tree.
I loved the expression on his face in this one.
Mouth breather - I suppose that comes with the couch potato quality ;)

Christmas pictures part 1

I bought Paul and Oscar matching PJs, so I thought it was only appropriate to torture them with pictures. Paul took the first one of the tree... a nice, arty rendition of Christmas. It took forever to get Oscar to smile! He gets really distracted by the camera.
Finally, we got a few..

Then we started messing with him. Paul blew on the back of his head. This picture captured the very beginning of what turned into 30 minutes of crying. I think he got scared :(

Burping

If you listen closely at the beginning of this clip, you can hear his "man burp". Otherwise, it's just a video of him being cute after he ate.

We had to wake him up. He actually slept through his dinner. I can't believe how big he is in this picture!

Happy and fed!!

In our car seat ready to go.

Uh-oh he woke up!

Maybe not... back to sleep
